She’s a kindly, diligent Lady

awakening naked landscapes

weaving garments of green

festooned with bright festive

colors, sprinkled with dizzying

floral fragrance of all kinds.

She calls for a party

and puts on a grand show

where bees and butterflies are

invited to kiss and dance with

each flower maiden, and go gently

with shy and fragile, little buds.

Quite an extravaganza!

I wish for time to stop.

  1. Oh yes, that time could stop so we might linger over these colors and perfumes! Lovely poem, Cynthia–and I’m so happy to see you tonight. God bless you abundantly–love, sis Caddo (with a new picture too!)

  2. Well written and well said Cynthia.

  3. Around here Spring is rather late this year; the trees are only now beginning to open their leaves. Your poem reminds me of brighter Springs. Rather than wishing time would stop, I am encouraging it to move along. 🙂

  4. Oh, this is so beautifully written, Cynthia, and I love these lines, “where bees and butterflies are invited to kiss and dance with
each flower maiden.” Lovely and joyful, my sister! Sending hugs!

  5. A very nice poem Cynthia. I love it.

  6. beautiful as ever, Cynthia! Spring is just such a beautiful season and you captured all of it in your words.
have a happy spring and many hugs!
