Winter Haiku

1.   Bleak and barren earth

Nature in desolation

Pining for the sun.

.

2.   Winter’s white silence

White as a white cow’s pure milk

Spilled upon the ground.

  1. Lovely! Yes, it can seem so desolate. Yet while it appears so barren, out of our view much is being readied for that beautiful promise of Spring! Yet, when I don’t see it, I am one of the first to miss the sunshine.

  2. Dear Cynthia, Lovely. There are many dairy farms in our area. Merry Christmas, Ellen
