From Proverbs 10: 18-32

(With apology to our pet, Sylvester, on anesthesia here before his cement cast removal)

.

1.  Small thing the tongue is

Yet no man can ever tame

There’s Danger ahead!

Warning:  It creates wildfires

Unbridled,  it spreads slanders!

.

2.  The mouth of a fool

Brings forth endless destruction

But he who restrains

And guards well each spoken word

Is wise and will feed many.

  1. These are wonderful, Cynthia, filled with many great messages and your photo is adorable! It reminds me of when our dog, Copper, is tired from running or playing and his tongue hangs out, like it’s a foot long. Very funny! Anyway, how have you been? I’ve been more in a slow motion blog mode, but I think of you often and I hope you’re doing okay…hugs!

    • Thank you, Lauren, for thinking about me. I’m healing now but still feeling the pain. My Mom and I used to sit together at our gazebo and enjoy the beauty of the setting sun with at least 12 of our pet dogs by our feet. I can only cherish the memories and appreciate the simple joys I enjoyed with her…hugs, and more hugs!

      • Aww…you’re going to make me cry, Cynthia, but you’re right, just enjoy those cherished memories with her…hugs back again to you!

  2. Well done, Cynthia–great words in verse!! And poor baby, Sylvester!! God bless you and your whole family, including Pup, today! love, sis Caddo

    • Thank you, sis Caddo, I am healing well, and so is Sylvester’s fractured leg. Poor little puppy-looking dog is turning 4 yrs this Sept.!6, baby-sat him for 60 days till his cement cast was sawed and removed by our Vet. Maybe I should give him a little birthday celebration this Sunday and post another photo. I pray you are well, too, my dear Sis, missed you, and will be checking out everybody’s post.

  3. A wonderful write and very nice image…blessings to your words returning glow my sister!

  4. Welcome back! You were missed.

    Ciao, Francina

    • Thank you, Francina, for your kind words, and for patiently waiting. Yeah, it’s been a while, but I’m feeling much better. again, my sincere appreciation to you and all my thoughtful friends out there.

      • You’re welcome, Cynthia. We do meet people on our way through life ( in real life or on-line) we think of as a friend, and you are one of those kind of people, Cynthia . I’m glad to hear you are feeling a tad better.
        hugs, Francina xox
