Let me kiss you

with words that float away

like fragrant

honey-suckle blossoms

on the wings of night.

Let me kiss you

with poetry

in its genteel fluidity

soaring silently

in the early-summer’s

cold morning air.

Let me kiss your soul

with prayers that sigh

across the clear sunny sky

with its profusion

of floral blooms and scents

in the gladness of May.

Let me kiss you

with tears that cascade down

unceasingly in the twilight

of faith of lost souls

with their unfinished songs,

as night approaches coldly

like dark winter clouds

enveloping an animated dream.

Let me kiss you

in the comfort of your trust,

in the sunlight of my smile.

Let me kiss you…

  1. beautiful picture and even more writing! Plants – more specifically flowers – can express so much of how I see life. And you translated it very well in writing and image! thanks

  2. What an amazing poem . . .it carried me away! Thank you for sharing! 🙂
