A Song for the Unborn
(for those who didn’t live to see the light)

Blooming flowers of the moon
(Faintly-scented tiny ones)
Open at dawn,
Scorched by the sun
Death comes too soon.

Pale, nostalgic tiny blossoms
Sweet angelic flowers of dawn
(Tragic unborn daughters of the sun)
Moonlight casts her cool-soothing balm
Midnight’s lullaby sings its mournful psalm.
