TRIBUTE: A Song of Thanksgiving

There are some whose souls are winter-locked
Life’s hardness has frozen their hearts
Dark endless times of desperation
No end to cold winter, no hope of (Christmas nor) spring.

But from condemnation
And dark prison of sin there is
One who sets souls free
He unchains the prisoners
And makes the blind eyes to see.
His spirit of light revives
The cold hearts with love
And rekindles frozen souls
With fire from above.
He paid for humanity’s debts
And turns darkness to light
“Anyone who believes in Him has everlasting life”.

He gives us spring and causes the sun to shine
Clothes our souls with gladness and peace
With love and lasting joy!
Turns our sorrow into dancing
Gives us the light of a million mornings!

Rejoice, O soul and bless His Name!
For the Lord is good, He gives us hope
His love endures forever
And His mercy is everlasting.
Let all creation praise His Name!
